Ironic: Pittsburgh is NL Central; Atlanta is NL East

Isn't it ironic that Pittsburgh is in the NL Central while Atlanta is in the NL East, although Atlanta (84° 23' 17" W) is technically West of Pittsburgh (79° 59' 46" W)?

Other geographical inconsistencies:

Miami is also slightly West of Pittsburgh, yet the Marlins are in the NL East.

Cleveland is in the AL Central, although it is East of Atlanta, which is NL East.

The same is true of Detroit.

The West divisions take up more geographical space than all the Central and East divisions combined.
